The NAD M50 is a digital music “hub” built to give you computer-audio convenience without needing an actual computer in the rack. It runs on BluOS, so you can pull music from your network, USB storage, internet radio, and supported streaming services, then send a clean digital signal downstream to the DAC of your choice.
At the front, the slot-loading CD transport lets the M50 behave like a modern disc player, while BluOS adds the slick stuff: broad file support (including hi-res formats and MQA), plus app control across common desktop platforms.
Where it really shines is as a serious digital transport: it outputs via AES/EBU, coaxial and optical S/PDIF, and HDMI (audio), making it an easy match for high-end DACs and processors. Pair it with optional companions like the M52 (music vault/storage) and it can become the heart of a bigger library setup.
