Clearaudio Concept Turntable

Clearaudio's vision for the concept: design an elegantly styled turntable package featuring a level of groundbreaking technology usually only found in high-end turntables, combining plug-and-play simplicity with outstanding sound quality and affordability.

At LENC, we love the Clearaudio Concept turntable for its flexibility. Like all Clearaudio turntables, you have the option of choosing your favourite cartridge and tonearm combinations. So you can tweak this deck to your exacting tastes.

Manufacturers Details:

Beneath the sleek, contemporary exterior is a level of technical sophistication unique to Clearaudio.

The concept’s body is carefully crafted from medium-density wood fibre (or, optionally, pressure-formed solid wood) with a selection of smart made-to-match surface finishes. The body’s upper layer incorporates a special high-tech satined plastic compound designed to minimise unwanted resonance.

Engineered With Care:

The DC motor is fed by an external voltage-stabilised power supply and is completely decoupled from the turntable’s body to ensure no mechanical interference.

The concept tonearm features a magnetic bearing that is friction-free for extremely low distortion and superb performance. The package is completed with the high quality CONCEPT MM or CONCEPT MC cartridge (Upgrade possible).

Innovative, high-performing, user-friendly, and affordable. Now that’s what we call an unbeatable concept.

Nat Recommends:

If you are on the hunt for the ideal phono stage to compliment your new Clearaudio Concept turntable, I have two great recommendations for you.

Firstly, take a look at the Nano Phono V2. It's Clearaudio, so you know for certain it will be a great sonic match, but I also really like the fact you have the option for an upgrade with this phono stage. You can make it work doubly hard for you as a headphone amplifier as well as a phono stage. The choice to do so is up to you.

Secondly, the Lindemann Limetree Phono II is a seriously nice step up from the Nano. It can also do both MM & MC cartridges, and i think it works really well both aesthetically and audibly with the Concept deck.

Key Features:

  • Fully manual premium belt drive turntable.
  • Decoupled DC motor with low noise bearings.
  • 30mm polyoxymethylene (say that 5x times quickly) low resonance platter.
  • Innovative Concept magnetic bearing tone arm.
  • Concept moving magnetic cartridge.
  • 3 speed finger tip control
